Layered Vegetable Salad Recipe

Ingredients
Flavored gelatin
4 medium carrots, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch slices (about 2 cups)
2 cups small cauliflowerets
1 package (10 ounces) frozen green peas
Directions
Prepare Flavored Gelatin.
Place steamer basket in 1/2 inch water in saucepan or skillet (water should not touch bottom of basket).
Place carrots in basket.
Cover tightly and heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Steam until crisp-tender, about 8 minutes.
Immediately rinse under running cold water; drain.
Place cauliflowerets in steamer basket.
Cover tightly and heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Steam until crisp-tender, about 6 minutes.
Immediately rinse under running cold water; drain.
Rinse peas under running cold water; drain.
Layer peas, cauliflowerets and carrots in 4-cup mold.
Pour Flavored Gelatin over vegetables.
Refrigerate until firm, at least 4 hours.
Un-mold on salad greens and serve with mayonnaise or salad dressing if desired.
