Layered Turkey Salad Recipe

4 cups torn iceberg lettuce
 
1 (10-ounce) package frozen peas, thawed and drained
 
1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
 
1 large stalk celery, sliced
 
1/2 cup chopped onion
 
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
 
2 cups coarsely chopped cooked turkey
 
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
 
1 tablespoon sugar
 
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
 
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions

Layer first 7 ingredients in a 13- x 9-x 2-inch dish.
Combine mayonnaise and sugar, spread over turkey.
Top with cheese and bacon.
Cover, chill.
