Layered Sausage Loaf Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound pork-sausage meat
2 cups soft bread crumbs
2 cups peeled, diced raw apple
2 small onions, peeled and chopped
1/2 teaspoon sage, Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Divide sausage meat into 2 equal parts.
Combine crumbs, apple, onions, sage, salt and pepper.
Pat out 1/2 sausage meat in bottom of 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan.
Spread dressing on top, and press down lightly.
Cover with remaining meat in smooth layer.
Bake at 350°F. about 45 minutes.
Invert onto serving platter.
