Layered Fruit Salad Recipe
Here is a classic recipe for the ever tropical favorite called Fruit Salad. Made with fresh fruits and arranged in layers with cream cheese with exciting flavoring this Layered Fruits Salad is a very satisfying and delicius dessert to serve. Ingredients
2 packages (4-serving size) JELL-O® Brand Orange or Wild Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup cold water
Ice cubes
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups fresh fruit (banana slices, orange sections and halved seedless grapes)
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 2 1/2 cups.
Add to gelatin with lemon juice, stirring until slightly thickened.
Remove any unmelted ice.
Measure 1 cup of the gelatin; set aside.
Stir fruit into remaining gelatin; pour into serving bowl.
Place measured gelatin, cheese and cinnamon in blender.
Cover and blend until smooth.
Spoon carefully over gelatin mixture in bowl.
Chill until set, about 2 hours.
