Layered Enchilada Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 Pound | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Tablespoon | |
| Chili powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ripe olives | 1 Can (10oz), chopped | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| 6 tortillas , lightly buttered | ||
| Shredded cheese | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in butter.
Add seasoning, olives and tomato sauce.
In a round 2 qt.casserole, alternate layers of tortilla, meat sauce and 1-1/2 C.cheese.
Sprinkle remaining 1/2 C.of cheese on top of tortilla.
Pour water at edge into bottom of casserole.
Cover; bake in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Cut into quarters.
Serves 4 generously.
