| 3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||

| Brazil nuts | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| Flaked coconut | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 cup (one 6-ounce package) semisweet chocolate pieces | ||
| Light corn syrup | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Blend butter, 1 cup flour, and 1/4 tea spoon salt.
Press firmly into greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (375°F.) for 15 minutes.
Beat sugar into eggs.
Add remaining salt, 1 cup nuts, the coconut, and vanilla.
Spread evenly over baked layer in pan.
Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes longer.
Cool in pan.
Melt chocolate over hot water and stir in corn syrup and water.
Spread on baked mixture and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
Let stand until topping is firm, and cut into bars 1 x 3 inches.
