 Onions1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
 Ginger garlic paste1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Mustard seeds1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Cumin seeds1 Teaspoon (jeera)
 Milk1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Coconut powder1 Teaspoon
 Dhaniya powder1 Teaspoon
 Turmeric powder To Taste
 Salt To Taste
 Chilly powder To Taste

Directions

Scrape the skin & cut the bottle gourd into small cubes.

Heat oil in a skillet. Add mustard seeds & allow them to splutter; Then add cumin seeds, onions, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, turmeric powder & saute until onions turn golden brown.

Add the chopped lauki pieces. Add salt & chilly powder. Add half cup milk & cover with lid.

Cook until the pieces turn tender. Add dhaniya powder & coconut powder. Mix well & cook another 2 minutes.

Serve Hot with Rotis/Rice.

I usually don't like lauki. It needs to prepared with so many seasonings and spices. But with coconut and onion flavorings it should taste good.
