Lasagna Recipe

This Lasagna recipe is a delicious keeper and always a plus in my cookbook! It is an effortless Main Dish. If you have a lot of Beef on hand then you know its time to make some Lasagna. I am sure both of us will be in agreement that this Lasagna is very delectable.

Ingredients

 
3/4 lb. ground beef
 
1/4 lb. bulk sausage
 
1 sm. onion, minced
 
1/2 clove of garlic, chopped
 
1 sm. can mushroom pieces
 
1 bay leaf
 
1 tsp. salt
 
1/2 tsp. pepper
 
1 tsp. mixed Italian spices
 
2 sm. cans tomato paste
 
1 pkg. lasagna
 
1 carton ricotta cheese
 
12 oz. sliced mozzarella cheese
 
Grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

"Brown ground beef, sausage and onion in skillet; pour off excess fat.
Add garlic, mushroom pieces, bay leaf, salt, pepper, spices and tomato paste.
Rinse each tomato paste can with 3 tablespoons water; stir into meat mixture.
Simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook lasagna according to package directions.
Alternate layers of lasagna, meat sauce, ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses in greased oblong baking dish.
Repeat layers.
Bake in 325- degree oven for 45 minutes."
