Directions
Grease a pie-dish with butter.
Wash the grain in cold water if necessary, and put it into the pie-dish with the milk.
Leave to stand for about 1/2 hr.
Add the sugar, flake the fat on to the top and add any flavouring required.
Bake slowly (310° F., Gas 2) until the pudding is brown on top and of a thick creamy consistency.
