Langues Des Chats Recipe
This is how I show my love to my near and dear ones, yes by preparing their favorite Langues Des Chats using this recipe. Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
2 egg whites
1 cup unbleached all purpose flour, sifted
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Lightly butter baking sheet.
Dust with flour, shaking off excess.
Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and salt and beat well.
Beat in egg whites one at a time.
Mix in flour.
Spoon mixture into pastry bag fitted with 1/2-inch plain tip.
Holding bag straight up, pipe flat strips onto sheet in 3-inch lengths, spacing 1 inch apart.
Bake until edges of cookies are lightly browned, about 5 to 8 minutes.
