Lamb Stew Recipe

Ingredients
2 lb shoulder of lamb, cut for stew
2 T corn germ oil
1/4 t date sugar
1 T wholewheat flour
2 c lukewarm water
1 c bouillon
1 onion
1 bay leaf
1/4 t thyme
1/2 t sea salt
12 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
Directions
Heat oil and add meat, cooking until browned on all sides.
Add sugar and cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Pour off fat and sprinkle meat with flour and cook until brown, stirring constantly.
Add water, bouillon, onion, bay leaf, thyme, and salt.
Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer 1 hour.
Add potatoes and cook one hour more.
