Lamb Steaks With Sweet Marinade Recipe
Ingredients
Marinade
2 tbsp (30 ml) maple syrup
2 tbsp (30 ml) wine vinegar
1 tsp (5 ml) chopped parsley
1/4 tsp (1 ml) aniseed
1/4 tsp (1 ml) celery seed
1/4 tsp (1 ml) marjoram
2 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped
Juice 1 orange

4 lamb steaks, (from leg), 1/2 in (1.2 cm) thick
2 tbsp (30 ml) oil
Salt and pepper
Directions
Preheat barbecue at HIGH.
Mix marinade ingredients together; pour over lamb and marinate 2 hours in refrigerator.
Place lamb steaks on hot grill and brush with oil.
Cook 10 to 12 minutes depending on taste.
Turn 3 times, season well and baste occasionally with leftover marinade.
