1 Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)

2 In an ovenproof casserole dish, arrange the chops.
3 In a pan, melt butter.
4 Add onions and fry until transparent.
5 Add garlic and carrots.
6 Add in the flour, tomato paste, thyme, bay leaf, pepper, beef consomme and water.
7 Stir until smooth.
8 Bring to a boil.
9 Pour over the chops.
10 Add potatoes and parsley.
11 Bake, covered, at for 1 1/2 hours.
