 Boneless lamb shoulder1 Pound, cut into 2 inch cubes
 Yoghurt1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Ground ginger1 Teaspoon
 Ground coriander2 Teaspoon
 Ground cinnamon1⁄4 Teaspoon
 Ground cardamom1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Ground cloves1⁄4 Teaspoon

Directions

1. In a heavy kettle melt the butter. Add the onions and garlic and saute until the onion is tender and transparent. Remove onions and garlic.
2. Add the meat to the kettle and brown on all sides. Return the onions to the pot and add the yoghurt and remaining ingredients. Simmer until tender, about thirty minutes. If desired, thin the sauce with water
