Ladyfingers Recipe
Ladyfingers tastes nice. Ladyfingers can be prepared very fast. Ladyfingers must be tried by egg lovers.
Ingredients
8 egg yolks
1 egg
2 cups meringue, in stiff peaks
1 1/4 cups flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 42 5 °F (220 °C).
In a bowl, beat egg yolks and egg.
With a whisk, gradually fold in meringue, alternating with flour.
Avoid over mixing.
Using a pastry bag with a plain nozzle, pipe 3 inch (7.5 cm) long fingers onto an unbuttered cookie sheet, spacing them 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.
For a charlotte border, space 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) apart only.
Bake in oven 5-8 minutes.
Let cookies cool.
COCOA LADYFINGERS Reduce flour to 3/4 cup and add 1/4 cup (60 mL) cocoa.
CHOCOLATE dIPPED LADYFINGERS Dip cold ladyfingers in 1/2 cup (125 mL) melted chocolate.
