Lace Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
 
1/4 tsp. baking powder
 
1/4 tsp. salt
 
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
 
1/2 cup sugar
 
1/2 cup quick cooking rolled oats
 
1/4 cup light cream
 
1/2 cup corn syrup
 
1/3 cup melted butter
 
1 tbsp. vanilla

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and sugar into bowl.
Stir in rolled oats.
Mix in remaining ingredients.
Use a 1/2 tsp. measuring spoon to drop mixture about 3 inches apart on un-greased cookie sheets.
Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until spread very thin and nicely browned.
Let stand for about 1 minute then lift off sheets and cool on racks.
