Kuri Gohan Recipe
Ingredients
| Rice grain | 2 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chestnuts | 2 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 1/2 Tbs. sake or dry sherry | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Wash the rice, then soak it for 1 hour.
Meanwhile, put the chestnuts into a saucepan and pour over the water.
Bring to the boil, then parboil for 15 minutes.
Drain and remove the skins from the chestnuts.
Quarter them if they are large; keep them whole if they are not.
Add the chestnuts, sake or sherry and salt to the drained rice and cook, following the instructions given in Gohan.
