Kulcha Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups Maida (All Purpose Flour)
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 cups Warm water
1 tsp Dahi Yogurt
1 Egg
1 tsp Sugar
1/2 cup Ghee for basting

How to make Kulcha

Point 1. Mix Maida, salt, and baking powder. Sift well.

Point 2. Mix Milk, Water, Yogurt, Egg.

Point 3. Mix flour and water mixture to make dough. Knead the dough for 6 to 8 minutes.

Point 4. Gather the dough to form a ball. Lightly oil the ball. Cover with damp kitchen towel or a plastic film wrap. Let it rest about 100 minutes at room temperature.

Point 5. Knead the dough for about six minutes. Divide dough in to 4 equal small balls. One dough ball will make one Kulcha.

Point 5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees fareinhite

Point 6. Lightly dust the rolling surface with Maida. Put a Dough ball. Flatten the dough with hand. Roll the dough out to form a round, or oval shape about the thickness of 3 Nickels (5¢ coins).

Point 7. Brush the Kulcha with Ghee. Put the Kulcha on a greased Baking sheet.

Point 8. Bake about 5 to 7 minutes.

Point 9. Repeat point 6 through 8 till all the Kulcha have been baked.

Freshly made Kulchas are so good to eat. I like stuffed kulchas so much. Stuffed with potatoes, paneer, methi ..are such a treat for supper! A picture would have been really good.
