Ingredients

 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Brown sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 cup {1/2 pound) margarine
 Oil1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 egg, slightly beaten
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 1 cup Rice Kris pies
 1 cup quick oatmeal
 Flour3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt3/4 Teaspoon
 Soda1 Teaspoon
 Cream of tartar1 Teaspoon
 Coconut1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Blend sugars well; cream with margarine, and then add oil. Blend in egg, vanilla, Rice Kris pies, and oatmeal. Sift flour, salt, soda, and cream of tartar together and add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Add coconut. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 12 minutes, or to desired brownness. Remove to cooling rack.
