Kourabiedes Recipe

This recipe of Kourabiedes was picked up by me from a gourmet magazine, I twisted it a little bit to meet my taste here I am, sharing my version with you. The Greek Kourabiedes has an unique characteristic of addicting you to it on the first bite. If it is an impressive Snack that you require, then this dish is the answer. Add this Kourabiedes to your list of choicest foods and make it whenever you want to.

Ingredients

 
1 pound sweet butter
 
2 egg yolks
 
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
 
5 cups flour, sifted
 
Confectioners' sugar for topping

Directions

Cream butter until very light and fluffy.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Add egg yolks and mix well.
Gradually work in sifted flour to make a soft dough.
With floured hands shape dough into small crescents and place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cooky sheets.
Bake in a moderate 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
Test to see if cookies are done by breaking one in the center.
If there is no butter line in the middle of the cooky, they are baked.
Sift confectioners' sugar on a large sheet of waxed paper.
Carefully place cookies on the sugar and sift additional sugar over tops and sides.
Cool thoroughly before storing,
