Directions

GETTING READY
1 In a bowl, mix the beef (or chicken) and sugar together.
2 Let it rest for 2 minutes, then add the soy sauce, garlic, scallions, pepper, sesame oil, chili paste, honey, and sugar.
3 Toss the mixture well to integrate all the flavors, and let it stand at room temperature for 1 hour (or overnight in the refrigerator) to allow the meat to marinade.

MAKING
4 Grill on barbecue or broiler, for 2 minutes each side.

SERVING
5 Serve immediately, with white rice and an assortment of side dishes.
