Directions

GETTING READY:
1)In a large bowl empty the pack of sea weeds and wash it with plenty of water for about 5-6 times. Fill the bowl with water and let it soak overnight so as to get rid of all the salt in the seaweed.

MAKING:
2)The next day drain all the water from the sea weed and shred the sea weed into thin strips using your fingers.
3)Chop it into 2 inch pieces on a cutting board and set this aside. Slice the onion and finely chop the green onions, mince the garlic and set these aside as well.
3)In a non-stick pan heat oil and lightly brown the garlic. Combine with the seaweed and fry for 5 minutes.
4)To the pan now add the green onions and sliced onions and mix well, fry till the onions are completely cooked and season with sesame oil, sugar and add salt if you feel it is bland fry for few more minutes. Add some sesame seeds on top.

SERVING:
5)Serve warm in a large bowl as a side dish and enjoy!

There are many kinds of dishes that use seaweed in Korea. This is one of them. Seaweed steams are packed with good nutrients and have many health benefits. Make a large batch of this and can keep it in the refrigerator to enjoy anytime with rice.
