Koot Patata Recipe

Koot patata is a European preparation of potatoes fried to a crispy brown texture. The fried potatoes are seasoned with cumin and coriander with red chili powder and mango powder. The koot patata can be served as a snack or a side dish.

Ingredients

 
500 ml oil for frying
 
300 gm potatoes
 
10-15 gm mango powder
 
5 gm coriander powder
 
5 gm cumin-powder
 
Salt to taste
 
Red chilli powder to taste
 
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
Meanwhile, cut potatoes into thick half-inch rounds.
Deep fry these rounds till golden and crisp.
Drain off the oil on kitchen paper.
Mix all the spices and sprinkle over the golden brown crisp potatoes.
