Keema Kofta Curry Recipe Video
Kofta curry or meatballs in gravy is a dish which is normally served on special occasions. It is accompanied by bread or rice.
Ingredients
300g minced meat
3-4 cubes of potato
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 green chilli
Coriander
1/2 onion, sliced
Assorted pieces of garam masala
1/2 tsp zeera
2 tbsp yoghurt
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 tsp haldi/ turmeric
salt to taste
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 small tomato chopped and put in microwave
1/4 onion chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
Directions
Grind minced meat, onions, potatoes, green chili and ginger-garlic paste.
Also add red chili powder, salt, pepper and poppy seeds.
Heat oil, fry onions until golden brown.
Add garam masala and zeera. When onion is golden brown take it out in a plate.
In the same pan, heat oil and add red chili, haldi, garam masala and salt. Add water to it.
Make balls of the minced meat and add to the oil with masala.
Cover it and let it cook.
Blend yogurt, fried onions, tomatoes and water.
Uncover the koftas and pour this mixture. Cover it.
After 10-15 minutes water has dried up and oil comes on the surface.
Koftas are ready.
Also add red chili powder, salt, pepper and poppy seeds.
