Kimbap - Preparing Rice Recipe Video
Ingredients
Short or medium grain rice - 3 cups, cooked
Fresh spinach - 2 stalks
Eggs - 4, scrambled
Spam- 1 can
Nori (seaweed) sheets - 1 can
Cooking oil
Large eggs - 4, scrambled
Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
Garlic - 1 teaspoon, chopped
Sesame seed oil - 1/2 teaspoon
soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
Garlic - 3 cloves, chopped
Sugar - 3 tablespoons
Mirin - 1 Tablespoon
Directions
GETTING READY
1..Rinse the rice until it runs clear.
MAKING
2.Fill the rice cooker bowl with enough water to cover the top of the rice. The ratio is 1:2 of rice to water by volume.
3. Simultaneously wash the spinach thoroughly.
4.. Boil water in the pot and parboil spinach in it.
5.Once done, take the spinach and put it in ice cold water using the tongs.
6.Drain the spinach well.
7.Take a wok or a stir fry pan and heat it to a medium flame.
8. Once heated add cooking oil.
9. Cut the spinach into half.
10.Put spinach in the pan and add soy sauce.
11. Put chopped garlic and mix well.
12. Add the sugar and mirin and take it off the heat and set it aside into a bowl.
13. Heat a non stick pan and put cooking oil in it.
14. Once hot, add scrambled eggs.
15. Once done, take the omelet out and cut into length wise.
16. Heat oil in a frying pan and add spam after cutting in length.
17. Keep all the prepared ingredients ready.
18. Season the rice with mirin, a pinch of salt, granulated sugar and sesame oil.
19. Lay the nori sheet and spread a medium size rice ball on it.
20. Put some spinach and line with spam and omelet.
21. Roll the sheet.
