Kielbasa And Red Cabbage Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 medium-sized red cooking apples | ||
| Butter margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Small, diced | |
| 1 small head red cabbage thinly sliced | ||
| Apple Juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Wine vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 1-pound kielbasa, cut into 2-inch slices | ||
Directions
1. Dice 1 apple. In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot butter, cook onion until tender, stirring occasionally. Add cabbage, apple juice, sugar, vinegar, salt, and diced apple; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
2. Add kielbasa to cabbage mixture; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Cut remaining apple into wedges; add to mixture; heat through.
