Ingredients

 
2 pounds ground lean lamb
 
2 cups fine burghul or medium wheat
 
1 onion, grated
 
Salt and pepper to taste
 
Cinnamon to taste
 
Butter

Directions

Wash burghul several times and drain.
Mix with ground meat, onion, salt, pepper and cinnamon.
Add cold water and knead to soften.
Butter a 9 x13-inch baking dish or pan.
Divide kibbee mixture in half.
Moisten hands with cold water.
Using half of kibbee, spread bottom layer evenly.
