Khichdi Recipe
Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup cup = rice cooker cup
Moong Dal - 1/2 cup
Bay leaves - 4
Cinnamon sticks - 3 medium sized
Cloves - 5
Turmeric powder - 2 pinches
Onions - half onion julienned
Cumin seeds - 1/4rth tsp
Green chillies - slit lengthwise
Water - 3 cups
Salt to taste
Directions
Wash 1 cup Rice & half cup Moong Dal together, drain water & keep aside.
Heat 3 tbs oil in a shallow pan. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, cloves, bay leaves, onions, green chillies & turmeric powder. Saute until onions turn brownish.
Add this to Rice. Add 3 cups water, salt & cook rice either in rice cooker or on stove.
Serve Hot.

I think the picture gives a chance of improved khichdi. It can be made better.

khichdi is a very traditional, healthy dish from india. It is also very famous due to easy to cook style.
