Kasha Pilaf Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup groats, kasha or wheat pilaf | ||
| Onion | 1 Small, minced | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| 2 cups chicken bouillon | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 cup wheat sprouts | ||
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, minced | |
Directions
In large skillet, heat butter.
Saute onion for 2 minutes.
Stir in groats.
Break egg into groats and stir to coat all grains.
Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes.
Add bouillon, salt and a lot of pepper.
Turn heat to medium low and cover pan.
Cook for 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed.
Uncover and fluff with fork.
Use fork to stir in 2 tbsp.butter and sprouts.
Heat through and serve immediately with minced parsley for garnish.
