Karela Pickle Recipe
Karela pickle is a spiced bitter gourd pickle recipe. Made with fresh karelas or bitter gourds, the karela pickle is spiced with ginger and pickling spices with lemon pieces to taste.
Ingredients
Karela 250 gms
Ginger 50 gms
Lemon 2
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Pickle masala 2 to 3 tsp
Mustard oil 1 1/2 cups
Salt as per taste
Directions
1) Mix the small pieces of karela and ginger with salt and pickle powder.
2) Add the juice of two lemons and mix well.
3) Heat oil in a pan. Allow the mustard seeds to splutter and then add to the above mixture.
