Kamut Indian Fry Bread Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups (480 ml) KAMUT BRAND Flour
3 tbs (45 ml) honey or 2 tbs (45 ml) date sugar
1 tsp (3 ml) baking powder, optional
1 tsp (5 ml) orsa salt water canola, safflower or vegetable oil for frying
Directions
Combine first 4 ingredients and add enough water until it forms a stiff dough ball.
Pinch off approximately 2 tbs of dough.
Pat out to make a round flat patty.
Poke a hole in the middle with a fork.
Be sure to keep fingers, counter and dough ball well floured or it will get sticky.
Fry in about 1 inch of oil until golden, turning only once.
Drain on napkin, repeat for rest of dough.
Delicious with meat or veggies or great hot with honey.
Also with sprouts as a sandwich.
