Kahlua Sauce Recipe
Kahlua Sauce is a delicious dessert recipe which I always love to have on my dinner table. I bet, once you have this Kahlua Sauce, you will always crave for some more.
Ingredients
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon freshly grated orange rind
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1 cup light cream or 1/2 cup heavy cream plus 1/2 cup half and half
5 or more tablespoons Kahlua, to taste
Directions
Simmer 1/3 cup water, sugar, and orange rind very gently for 10 minutes.
Dissolve the cornstarch in 1 tablespoon water.
Add the dissolved cornstarch and the cream to the pan containing the water, sugar, and orange rind mixture.
Cook over medium heat until the mixture has thickened, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
