Basic Indian Kadhi Recipe Video
Kadhi is a delicious hot yogurt soup. It is often served with rice or khichidi. Kadhi is served hot. And preferred on rainy and cold weather. It is made with some variations in the ingredients and recipe as per taste. Yogurt is a rich source of protien, calcium and vitamins.
Ingredients
1 c slightly sour yogurt
2 tbsp chicekpea flour
2 c cold water
1 tbsp ghee/butter
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
Pinch of asofedita
Salt to taste
Pinch of tumeric power
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp grated garlic
Green chilis
Curry leaves
Directions
Place yogurt in a bowl and add water.
Siff chicekpea flour and beat together to make batter.
Mix nicely. Then, cook the mixture on low heat.
Bring it to a boil and add seasoning to it.
Add salt. Heat oil and crackle mustard and cumin seeds.
Add asofedita, green chilis and curry leaves.
Add ginger-garlic and saute a bit.
Boil the Kadhi and it is ready to serve.
