 250 gms. kabuli channa
 3-4 green chillies, slit in centre
 Onions4 , chopped
 2 onions, cut in. rounds
 Ginger1 , chopped
 4 teaspoons cumin seed powder
 Turmeric powder1/2 Teaspoon
 4 tablespoons tamarind water
 Ghee10 Tablespoon
 Coriander leaves4
 Salt2 Teaspoon
 Bread
 Chilli powder2 Teaspoon

Directions

Soak the kabuli channa overnight.
Parboil it in eight cups of water, and drain.
Fry the chopped onion to a light brown color in ghee.
Add six cups of water.
Cover and simmer for ten or fifteen minutes.
Mash the onion against the sides of the pan, add cumin seed and chilli powders, green chillies, ginger and turmeric.
Cook till the ghee begins to rise to the surface.
Add the kabuli channa and tamarind water.
Add coriander leaves last.
