Ingredients

 Garlic5 Clove (5gm), chopped
 A piece of fresh ginger, about 1-inch cube, peeled and chopped
 Jumbo shrimp1 1/2 Pound, deveined
 Vegetable oil3 Tablespoon
 Tomato Paste3 Tablespoon
 Turmeric1/2 Teaspoon
 Lemon juice1 Tablespoon
 Salt3/4 Teaspoon
 Cayenne pepper1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

Put the garlic and ginger in the container of an electric blender along with 3 tablespoons water.
Blend at high speed until you have a smooth paste.
Wash shrimp well and pat them dry.
Cut each shrimp into 3 sections.
Set aside.
Heat oil in 10-12-inch skillet over medium flame.
When hot, pour in the paste from blender and fry, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
Add tomato paste and turmeric.
Fry and stir another 2 minutes.
Add 4 tablespoons water, the lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper.
Cover, and simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
(This much can be done in advance.) Five minutes before serving time, lift off cover, put in the shrimp, and turn heat to high.
Stir and fry the shrimp for about 5 minutes or until they just turn opaque.
To serve: Place on platter and stick toothpicks into each shrimp piece.
Serve hot.
