Julglogg Christmas Wine Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 bottle of aquavit or gin | ||
| 2 bottles of Burgundy | ||
| Seedless raisins | 3 Ounce, cleaned | |
| Sugar | 4 Ounce | |
| Cardamom seeds | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cloves | 6 | |
| 1x2 inch cinnamon stick | ||
| Small piece of lemon rind | ||
Directions
Pour half the aquavit or gin into a saucepan with the wine. Add the raisins and sugar. Tie the spices and lemon rind in muslin and add to the pan. Cover and bring very slowly to the boil. Simmer for 30 minutes.
Add the remaining aquavit or gin and remove from the heat. Take out the muslin bag of spices and, just before serving, ignite the punch with a match. Serve in tumblers or punch glasses.
