Jubilee Jumbles Recipe
Jubilee Jumbles perfect mixture of vanilla, walnuts and brown sugar. These cookies can made with different ingredient combinations like raisins, coconut, and chocolate chips. The best part of jubilee jumbles is the frosting.
Ingredients
Shortening-1/2 cup
Brown sugar-1 cup, firmly packed
Sugar-1/2 cup
Eggs-2
Evaporated milk-1 cup
Vanilla-1 teaspoon
All-purpose flour-2 3/4 cups, sifted
Baking soda-1/2 teaspoon
Salt-1 teaspoon
Walnuts-1 cup, chopped
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, beat together shortening and sugars until light and fluffy.
2)Add eggs and beat well.
3)Add milk and vanilla.
4)In another bowl, sift together flour, soda and salt.
5)Mix it with creamed mixture. Add walnuts and mix thoroughly.
6)Take a greased baking sheet and drop spoonsful on it, about 2 inches apart.
7)Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, or until delicately browned.
8)Remove from baking sheets and cool.
9)In a small pan, heat 2 tablespoons of butter until golden brown.
10)Add 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar and evaporated milk.
11)Beat until smooth and frost cookies with this mixture.

12)Serve the jubilee jumbles on special occasions like Christmas.
