Johnny Cake Recipe
Ingredients
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. milk
1 c. cornmeal
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Directions
1 In a large bowl, cream the butter, then slowly cream in sugar.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
3. Combine cornmeal, flour and baking powder.
4. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk to the bowl.
5. Pour into a well greased square cake pan.
6. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.
