Joan Crawford S Meat Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground sirloin | 2 Pound | |
| Ground veal | 1 pound | |
| 1 pound Jones bulk pork sausage | ||
| 3 raw eggs | ||
| 1 large Bermuda onion, finely chopped | ||
| Green peppers | 2 To taste, finely chopped | |
| 3 tablespoons Lawry's seasoned salt | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Steak sauce | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 4 , boiled | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine meats, raw eggs, onion, peppers, 1 tablespoon Lawry's seasoned salt, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and 1 teaspoon A-l sauce.
Mix thoroughly.
Shape mixture into oval loaf form in shallow baking pan.
Gently press whole hard-boiled eggs into loaf.
Sprinkle remaining Lawry's seasoned salt, Worcestershire sauce and A-1 sauce on top of loaf as a crust.
Pour water in base of pan.
Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes.
Turn oven down to 300° and bake for 30 minutes.
Turn oven down to 250° and bake for 45 minutes to 60 minutes, basting frequently with pan juices.
