Jiffy Strawberry Compote Recipe
Ingredients
3 to 4 cups (750 mL to 1 L) fresh strawberries
1/2 cup (125 mL) fruit sugar
Grated rind of 1 orange
Juice of 1/2 an orange
1 tbsp (15 mL) orange liqueur or sherry (optional)
Directions
€¢ Mix all the ingredients together. Place in a microwave-safe serving dish. Microwave 2 minutes at MEDIUM-LOW.
€¢ Stir gently by shaking the bowl, rather than by stirring with a spoon.
€¢ Keep at room temperature until ready to serve.
