Jellied Salad Nicoise Recipe
I never thought whipping up a Jellied Salad is so easy - try out this Jellied Salad Nicoise and you will have to agree with me! Needless to say the blend of flavors is sure gonna win your heart!
Ingredients
| Tuna | 1 Can (10oz), drained, flaked | |
| Tomato | 1 Small, drained | |
| 1/2 cup cooked cut green beans (optional) | ||
| Ripe olives | 2 Tablespoon, sliced | |
| Green pepper | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Red onion | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons mild French or Italian dressing | ||
| Gelatin package | 1 | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Boiling water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cold water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 hard-cooked egg, diced | ||
| Lettuce | 2 Cup (16 tbs), coarsely chopped | |
| Mayonnaise | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk cream | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Combine tuna, vegetables, and french dressing in a bowl.
Mix lightly; let stand while preparing gelatin mixture.
Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water.
Add cold water and vinegar.
Chill until mixture just begins to thicken.
Then spoon vegetable mixture and diced egg into a 6 cup ring mold.
Pour on half the gelatin.
Spread lettuce on top.
Add remaining gelatin.
Chill until firm at least 4 hours.
Mix mayonnaise, cream, and anchovies.
Un mold salad.
Garnish with watercress, if desired.
