Jellied Prune Whip Recipe
Ingredients
| Orange gelatin packet/Lemon gelatin packet | 3 Ounce (1 Package) | |
| Boiling water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cold water | 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Grated orange rind | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Chopped cooked prune pulp | 1 Pound (About 1 1/2 Cup Dried Prunes) |
Directions
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Add cold water, salt, and orange rind.
Place bowl of gelatin in a larger bowl of ice and water.
Stir until slightly thickened; then whip until fluffy and thick.
Add sugar to prune pulp and fold into whipped gelatin.
Pile lightly in sherbet glasses.
Chill until set at least 1 hour.
