Jellied Coconut Ring Recipe

Ingredients
Black cherry flavor gelatin-1 regular size package (3ounce)
Boiling water-1 1/4 cups
Milk-3/4 cup
Sugar-1/2 cup
Heavy cream-2 cups
Egg yolks-4, well beaten
White sugar-2 tablespoons
Dash of salt
Whipping cream-1/2 cup
Flaked coconut-1/2 cup
Bing cherries-2 cups (pitted fresh or drained canned)
Vanilla-1 teaspoon
Brown sugar-1/2cup
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Cool it to lukewarm.
2)In a saucepan, scald milk.
3)Then, add sugar and salt and stir until dissolved. Cool to lukewarm.
4)Now, add milk to gelatin slowly. Keep stirring.
5)Chill until slightly thickened.
6)Beat gelatin mixture until fluffy and thick.
7)Whip cream and add it into whipped cream into the gelatin mixture along with coconut.
8)Take a 1 1/2-quart ring mold, pour the mixture and chill until firm.
9)Unmold and fill center of ring with Bing cherries.
SERVING
10)Serve the jellied coconut ring chilled.
