Jeff Davis Pudding the Briers Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup suet, chopped fine | ||
| Molasses | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup sour milk in which 11/2 teaspoons soda are dissolved | ||
| Fruits | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Currants | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Take the suet and pour the other ingredients over it.
Put into a pudding bag which has been moistened and rolled in flour.
Place in a vessel of boiling water and boil 4 hours 3 hours is enough if it boils constantly.
