Directions

GETTING READY
1) Grease a baking dish.

2) In a saucepan, add together sugar, 3/4 cup water, and jam and allow to boil till syrupy.
3) Stir in the rum flavoring and lemon juice.
4) Pare and core the apples and stuff with dates.
5) Arrange the apples in a baking dish and add the syrup over the apples.
6) Sprinkle with nuts.
7) Place in the oven at 350 degrees and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
