 1/4 cup cherry, strawberry or apricot jam
 Butter/Margarine1 Cup (16 tbs), softened
 Sugar2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs2 , beaten
 Flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Milk or water1/4 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Grease bread 'n cake bake pan well.
Spread jam in bottom.
With electric mixer, cream butter and sugar well.
Add eggs gradually.
Mix dry ingredients together and stir into creamed mixture with wooden spoon.
Stir in water.
Pour mixture over jam; cover pan.
Pour 1/2 cup water into crock pot.
Place covered pan in crock pot.
Cover and steam on high setting for 2 to 3 hours.
Remove pan and uncover.
Unmold immediately on cake rack and cool.
