Ingredients

 
4 fresh or frozen halibut salmon, shark or swordfish steaks, cut 1 inch thick (1/2 to 2 pounds)
 
1/4 cup margarine or butter
 
1 tablespoon snipped fresh basil or
 
1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
 
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Directions

Thaw fish, if frozen.
In a small mixing bowl combine margarine, basil, and lemon juice; beat till fluffy.
Set aside.
Lightly grease cooking grill.
Place fish steaks on the cooking grill.
Grill 10 to 12 minutes or till fish flakes when tested with a fork, turning once halfway through grilling time.
Before serving, top each fish steak with a dollop of the margarine mixture.
Serve immediately.
