Italian-Style Beef 'N Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 lean beef cubed steaks (about 4 ozs. each)
 
1 tsp. olive oil
 
1 tbs. fresh lemon juice
 
3/4 cup prepared spaghetti sauce
 
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
 
1 tbs. chopped fresh basil (1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed, may be substituted for the fresh basil)
 
1 cup cooked linguini
 
1 tbs. grated parmesan cheese

Directions

Heat oil in lg.nonstick skillet over medium low heat.
Add beef cubed steaks; pan broil to desired doneness, 3-4 minutes, turning once.
Season steaks with salt and pepper, ifdesired; add lemon juice.
Remove steaks; keep warm.
Cook spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and basil in sm.skillet, uncovered, 3 minutes or until hot.
Divide linguini between 2 plates; spoon half of sauce over linguini.
Place steaks on top of sauce; spoon remaining sauce over steaks.
Sprinkle steaks evenly with cheese.
Garnish with fresh basil.
