Italian-Style Beans Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds Italian sausage
3 stalks celery, sliced (about 1 1/2 cups)
1 medium green pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1 can (16 ounces) lima beans, drained
1 can (16 ounces) pork and beans
1 can (15 ounces) chili with beans
Directions
Remove sausage from casing.
Cook and stir sausage, celery, green pepper and onion in 4-quart Dutch oven over medium heat until sausage is done, about 15 minutes; drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until hot, 10 to 15 minutes.
