Italian Steak Sandwiches Recipe
A quick bite sure is welcome anytime. These Italian steak sandwiches promises a great treat for your taste bites. A wonderful way to energise on the run. Enjoy!!
Ingredients
Butter – 3 tablespoons
Bermuda Onion – 1, sliced
Salt – 1/8 teaspoon
Instant Minded Onion – 1/8 teaspoon
Oregano – ½ teaspoon
Pepper – just a dash
Worcestershire Sauce – ½ teaspoon
Sandwich Steaks – 1 ¼ pounds
Italian Rolls - 4
Olive oil to sprinkle
Dill Pickle – 2 medium, sliced
Directions
MAKING
1) In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter
2) Tip in the onions and sauté till tender
3) In a saucepan, mix the tomato sauce, salt, minced onion, oregano, pepper, garlic salt
4) Allow the mixture to come to a boil
5) Add in 1 teaspoon of 1 butter and Worcestershire sauce
6) Place a lid on the pan, reduce the flame and simmer for 10 minutes
7) In the pan with the onion, add the steak an fry till browned
8) Sliced the rolls and sprinkle in olive oil
9) Spoon 2 tablespoons of the tomato mixture in each roll, add the steak and onion
10) Top the roll with the remaining mixture
SERVING
11) Serve warm with the pickles on top and some oregano sprinkled over
